Chills During Hemodialysis

November 16, 2016

On her 8th dialysis she got chills for an assumptive reason that her catheter is already mature (1 month) and she might got infected. She said she can't breathe for unexplained reason. Her watcher at that time was my aunt and she just waiting outside. The nurses gave her hydrocotisone, d5050 and oxygen. Mom was complaining earlier that her neck was hurt when a nurse was removing plasters tape on her neck, afterwards she got chilled.

Emergency Dialysis

My mom was admitted and confined for 3 days at the hospital. They put her in the operating room and inserted a catheter on her neck to prepare for dialysis. I am super clueless and confused after we showed her laboratory test at that time. I was just informed that her creatinine level is too high and she need to be confined and see a Nephrologist. We really don't know what to do that time. I was scared and my mom was confused, the feeling is horrible.

The Nephrologist told us that she needed to hemodialysis. A stormy night and we went to hospital and waited for the doctor and recommendation to other doctors so they can start to treat my mom. Three days of worries, confusion, stressful in the hospital are horrible moments that you don't want to go back.
